Deer Trail Road Race 4/23 – SM3 – Chris J

One of the things that i’ve discovered i love about bike racing is that a lot of the discipline and decision making skills that racing (or any sport) helps you develop apply to real life as well. I discover this in small ways all the time.

Deer Trail Road Race Report (Sort of) – TimL

5:30 am – Loading my car up for race day, I briefly checked current weather conditions for Deer Trail, CO. 34 degrees, average wind 5 mph, and 50% humidity. I dont really love crits, and dont consider them a strength, (my best finish in cat4 was 12th or 13th i think).   but i was itchin to race this weekend, and i’m training this year with the idea that crits are good workouts for my weaknesses: super-threshold efforts. (my threshold/endurance pace is pretty solid but i feel like i need a bit more pop for my rr/sr ambitions).   So last saturday i dragged my wife down to the boulder burbs for the Louisville Criterium.  Continue Reading »
