Bazaar Road Race, Bazaar, Kansas

Danny “H. Fox” Martin was back in Kansas for the weekend, and took the opportunity to race the infamous Bazaar Road Race.  It had been many (>10) years since the last time he competed in this race in the Flint Hills of Chase County, Kansas.  The race is always windy, and this year was no disappointment.  In addition to the wind, the ranchers of the area were Rx-burning their tallgrass prairie off as is typical this time of year in the area.  Continue Reading »

Boulder Roubaix SM3

Boulder Roubaix – a classic Front Range race, to be contested in 2010 on a day with legendary Front Range weather! An eighteen mile loop consisting of about 50% hardpack, including the obnoxiously pitted finishing straight. Three of us toed the line for the SM3 – Aaron “Rock Star” Jeffrey, “Mad Dog” Mike Harper and Thomas “The Train” Taylor. Not sure the exact count but round about 75 starters. More later….testing out the post sequence…

Boulder Roubaix Pro 1/2 Men

I was intent on making the break Sunday.  With Fly-V there as well as Bahati and Tom Danielson I knew those teams would have to be there for it to stick and the way Danielson’s been riding I was almost certain he would be in it.  Continue Reading »

Prarie Center Crit SM3

SM3 Prairie Crit:

A.J., Tdog and Metro lined up with only 41 total racers in the SM3 to contest the 10 deep prize purse – pretty good odds. It was fast and tight from the get go. The early corners were a little sketch as everyone fought for positions, but honestly with such a small field there was never any real worry about going out the back if you showed up with good legs.
